She tap tap tapped out. Quavo and Saweetie have broken up.

Saweetie and Migos rapper have officially called it quits.

The rappers have been romantically linked since 2018, they linked-up after they began flirting on Instagram, and they had spoken glowingly about each other as recently as January of this year.

But the hip hop power couple have apparently broken up, with Saweetie announcing on Twitter that she was single. Saweetie (real name Diamonté Harper and age 27) also called out the way Quavo (real name Quavious Marshall and age 29) allegedly treated her behind closed doors.

It’s not entirely clear what narrative Saweetie is referring to, but she does drop some more hints, saying … “Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”

Later that day, Quavo seemed to address their split without directly naming Saweetie.

Rumours that the two had split first started to circulate earlier this week after fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram, where Quavo first slid in her DMs in March 2018 with the now-infamous pickup line “u so icy Ima glacier boy.”

In an interview with Page Six published in May 2020, Quavo gushed about his then-girlfriend, saying Saweetie brings “something very special to the game” of hip-hop music.

Just last week, the Icy rapper was asked on the “respectfully Justin” show if she has ever experienced a threesome when she attended the University of Southern California; “”Unfortunately not”, she answered “I’ve always been in a relationship, faithful. Big Cancer shit!”

Justin Combs, the podcast’s host, is apparently an ex-boyfriend of Saweetie’s. So Quavo felt it was disrespectful of her to appear on his new show.

The couple began quietly dating in 2008, they made it Instagram official in March 2019 and later that month she featured Quavo in the music video for her song Emotional.

Back in November, Saweetie shut down rumors that Quavo was cheating on her with Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter, 21.

“Quit spreading that fake news before y’all get Quavo a** in trouble cuz I don’t play that sh*t,” Saweetie tweeted, after Quavo himself denied the rumors.

Over Christmas, Quavo gifted Saweetie a custom Bentley Continental GT as well as several Birkin bags.

Saweetie returned the favor by getting her man a $300,000 Richard Mille watch.

They are both successful rappers in their own right. Saweetie has been a recording artist since 2016, in 2019 released the lead single, “Tap In” from her upcoming debut album. The single peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became her first song to enter the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 38.

Quavo is one of the three Migos rappers. A Hip Hop group who’s had four songs enter the Top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100, including “Bad and Boujee” who peaked at number 1. Outside of Migos, Quavo has been featured on four singles that have peaked within the top 10 of the chart including DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One” and “No Brainer”
